December Blindness!

Updated: May 6, 2021

Can you believe that we have made it to the final month of 2020? No matter what happens, time flies! This morning, I am feeling wonderful. November was definitely full of twists and turns but a new month is upon us. I have some great things lined up for this month and I have some major goals to achieve in the first quarter of 2021.

My youngest daughter lost a tooth last night and instead of the usual tooth fairy duties, she asked that I take her for a donut this morning. I decided to grant her wish. This morning was the coldest morning that we have had in a while so we bundled up and set out for a donut before school. Lately, I have been starting out each day with my gospel music and today was no different. As I got to the window to pay for her donut, I decided to pay it forward and pay for the next order. My order was only a dollar and some change but the order behind me was almost eight dollars. I didn't matter. I paid it and I felt great about it. I didn't even realize that Maliah was paying attention but as we drove off, she said "That was so nice, Mommy!" We listened to the good music and spent our last ten minutes together before she was off to school. I am such a fan of cold weather. I am more creative. My imagination really kicks in. This is my season and December has not disappointed! Last December, I was wearing shorts lol. A lot has happened since last December. A whole lot. I am thankful. More than anything, my mood is thankful. God has been talking to me and I have been listening. My listening to God removed certain people and situations from my life almost instantaneously. I am reminded of phrases such as "Don't believe everything you see" and "Don't believe everything you know". At this exact moment in my life, I am happy to be "blind". I don't know where I'm going or what I am doing but I know that I am being led in the right direction and I am perfectly fine with that. Today Lord, I am giving you the driver seat and I am getting in the back seat. I don't even want the passenger seat. I don't even need to see where we are headed. Just let me know when we arrive and your will shall be done.
